Top Priorities for Preboarding
Welcome to the team! To equip you for your first day and get you set up in the system, please complete the items below to satisfy your preboarding requirements.
Required Flu Vaccination
All Wellstar team members and physicians who practice at a Wellstar facility must be vaccinated against the flu or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to your first day of employment. Vaccines are readily available at retail pharmacies, or you may also elect to be vaccinated at your primary care provider.
Proof of vaccination or exemption, should be submitted to the Employee Health Hub by clicking the below box.
Please note that the flu vaccine is only required between September 1st to March 31st.

Complete Preboarding in Workday
New Team Members should have received two emails containing your Workday username and a temporary password necessary for accessing the Workday platform. Once logged in, navigate to your Journey by selecting the “Awaiting Your Action” tile at the top.
Here, you will find:
- Section 1 Form I-9
- Confidentiality form
- Tax forms
- Direct deposit information
Your Preboarding Partner will schedule a video conference to assist you in completing Section 2 of the Form I-9 . Please ensure that you are prepared for this video conference session. Thank you. If required, call the HR Service Center at 470-267-1234 for assistance.
Schedule Your Drug Screening
Within 5 Days of receiving your Welcome Letter, please visit a LabCorp location to complete your pre-employment drug screen test. Click on the links provided for assistance in identifying the nearest location.

Background Check
Cisive will send an email with your Username and Temporary Password for the background check. Please review all personal information for accuracy (including D.O.B./SSN), and ensure all fields are complete, including education, work history, and certifications/licensures if applicable.

Pre-Employment Health Screening
Prior to your start date, your Preboarding Partner will contact you to schedule your health screening and provide more information. Please plan for at least two hours for this appointment and remember to bring a valid form of photo identification (e.g., driver’s license). We kindly request that you refrain from bringing minors to this appointment.
- Appointments can be scheduled up to 90 days before the start date. Scheduling an appointment less than 14 days before the start date may result in a postponed hire date.
Certifications & Licensures
- If your role requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, you must provide a valid American Heart Association BLS certificate prior to Day 1. Wellstar offers weekly, no-cost BLS classes at our 1800 Parkway location and Augusta University. To learn more or sign up for a class, please speak with your Preboarding Partner.
- You may also complete your BLS certification through a community provider, as long as the course is certified by the American Heart Association.
- Make sure you’re ready! Gather and bring proof of all certifications and licenses required for your role.
I-9 Form – Federal Regulation
- Your Preboarding Partner will schedule a video conference to assist you in completing Section 2 of the Form I-9. Please ensure that you are prepared for this video conference session.
- Documents must be unexpired and original – copies not accepted.
