Preparing for Day 1 & Beyond

Your First Day on the Wellstar Team

Congratulations on joining the Wellstar team and thank you for completing all your pre-boarding requirements. We’re excited to virtually meet you and formally kick off your Wellstar journey. Our first step is to make sure you’re set up for success.

On Day 1, we will gather virtually for a few hours in the morning via Zoom, and then you will work on your required computer-based learning modules in the afternoon. You can join the Zoom session from an iPhone, iPad, Android, tablet, notebook, laptop or desktop computer. Alternatively, you can join from your facility’s computer lab. For the second half of Day 1, you will complete your computer-based learning modules. Please note, these modules must be completed on a desktop or laptop computer – not a tablet or mobile device – using the Google Chrome browser.

For team members that do not have access to a home computer or require help with virtual orientation, you can join from the Wellstar 1800 Bldg. (1800 Parkway Place Marietta, GA 30067). Click here to register for the in-person assisted orientation.

Before Day 1

Prepare your device.

Setup your System Accounts.

You must activate your OneID and MFA System Accounts prior to your start date.

OneID@wellstar.org will send you an email 3 days prior to your start date with instructions. This email may be located in your spam folder.

What to Expect on Week 1 

Use your Week 1 Guide throughout the week to ensure your progress.

What to Expect on Day 1 

The following steps must be completed within the specified time frames and in this order. All times are Eastern Standard Time.

1. Have you activated your OneID and VIP system accounts this morning? 

These must be activated by 8:30AM today prior to the start of your TMCO Day 1 Virtual Orientation Session.

  • If you have not done this, please check your personal email for an email from OneID@wellstar.org with instructions on how to complete this.
  • If you need assistance with setting up your accounts, please contact the Wellstar IT Service Desk at 470-956-6000.

2. Virtual Orientation (9:00 am – approximately 12:00 pm) 

3. Required Trainings (12:00 pm – 5:30 pm)

  • Complete your online orientation computer-based learning modules through Workday on a desktop or a laptop computer – not a tablet or mobile device – using the Google Chrome Browser.
  • These modules must be completed by 5:30 pm on your first day.
  • For questions, please contact the HR Service Center at 470-267-1234.

Additional Resources

Once you have activated your OneID and MFA System Accounts. You will then participate in the virtual orientation beginning at 9:00 am. Immediately following your orientation, you will log into Workday Learning and complete the required learning modules. Check out the links, tutorials and other resources on this page to help you be successful, and don’t hesitate to call the HR Service Center with any questions you may have.

Logging In Information

Get Started

  • Open a Google Chrome browser and go to staff.wellstar.org.
  • Enter your Employee ID as your username, then enter your network password

Authentication

  • You will be prompted through MFA on your registered mobile device to approve the log in
  • Once approved, the Staff Portal Page will open in a new tab
  • Click on the Workday icon in the newly opened tab, and follow the log-in instructions for Workday
  • You will be directed to Microsoft Azure SSO for additional authentication. Enter your Wellstar email address and network password here. Then you will be redirected to Wellstar’s ADFS system (we know, we know – it’s a lot of steps, but it’s to keep us all safe!)
  • Enter your Wellstar email address and network password one more time on this page
  • MFA will send you a push notification on your mobile device. Approve this sign in request.

You’re all set! 

  • Please remember to complete your required training(s) by 5:30 pm on your first day.
